Creating Our Dream Life: Embracing the Little Moments

Our first post, from the heart of our home
I never imagined I’d be here—writing a blog about home education, creativity, and life in a tiny flat with my husband and our toddler. And yet, here I am, fully in it. Fully us. And loving it more deeply than I ever thought I would.
We live in a two-bedroom flat in London, where the kettle is always on, the walls are filled with colour, and the floor is (almost always) sprinkled with crayons, paper scraps, and blocks. It’s not a huge space—but it’s where some of our biggest dreams are taking shape.
This blog started as a quiet whisper in my heart. A place to share the beauty and chaos of raising a little one, the unexpected joy of home educating, and how arts and crafts became more than just “activities”—they became a lifeline. A rhythm. A way to connect, create, and stay present in the beautiful blur of early motherhood.
Why Little Luminary Life?
Because I believe our little ones are already luminous.
Because I believe in lighting up small spaces with big energy.
Because I believe motherhood is more than survival—it’s a creative, expansive force.
And because I know I’m not the only one craving beauty, meaning, and a bit more magic in the day-to-day.
This space will be a mix of what’s real and what’s working for us—from gentle homeschooling ideas and play-based learning to our favourite art materials, toddler toys, books, and tools that help us make the most of every inch of our home.
Some of the links I’ll share here are affiliate links (which means I may earn a small commission if you decide to buy through them). But I pinky-promise: I’ll only ever recommend what we love, use, and truly believe in.
This isn’t a polished, perfect-life kind of blog. It’s a real life kind of blog. Messy mornings. Paint-streaked cheeks. Learning through love. Living creatively and intentionally, one day at a time.

So, whether you're here because you’re home educating too, navigating small-space living, or just looking for inspiration to bring more creativity into your family’s life—I'm so glad you're here.
Here’s to the little luminaries we’re raising, and the little lives we’re lighting up.Let’s grow something beautiful together.
With love,
Aneesa
